As a Rockville Newborn Photographer, I am always prepared for the unexpected. Despite how often as I may check the weather leading up to your session, sometimes the DMV likes to throw us curveballs and change plans at the last minute. Baby Maren’s outdoor newborn session definitely did not start out as planned! We had everything ready to go but the weather did not want to cooperate! Minutes after arriving it began to downpour, so we took advantage of the moment and snapped some photos of this beautiful little one. Unfortunately, we did end up having to reschedule when the rain didn’t let up! I would say it was well worth it for the timeless portraits we ended up capturing.

Moses baskets are perfect for outdoor newborn sessions! They are the perfect way to capture all of the fleeting baby details and moments! You can find a dupe of the one I use here and here. What is sweeter than a baby in nature laying in a Moses basket? And I was so lucky to get my holy grail shot (adorable baby yawns!) twice during this sweet session.
