As a Washington, DC newborn photographer, I made a promise to myself that 2020 would be a year of growth. Entering the The Motherhood Anthology 2020 Photo Contest was the best way to do it, especially in these times. I want to push my boundaries and step out of my comfort zone. I want to learn, expand, and feel confident in my work.

Part of challenging myself has been to put my work out there more, so I decided to enter a few photo contests. The 2020 Birth Photography Image Competition and The Motherhood Anthology are filled with inspirational work from artists I adore. I was thrilled to have received 2nd place in Birth/Fesh 48 category of The Motherhood Anthology’s Photo Contest! What an honor to be recognized amongst photographers I so respect and admire in this in this industry! This year is shaping up to be a bit different (biggest understatement EVER), but I’m soaking up the good where I can find it and this was definitely a high point in 2020 so far!
