As a North Potomac Family Photographer, the greatest gift is working with clients who become friends. This beautiful, smart, and kind mama Jessica is one of those client-turned-friends, and I am so lucky to have captured her lovely family over several years now.

Southern Style

This Southern mama has the most impeccable style, always coordinating to a tee! Her sweet girls were absolutely precious in their Southern Sister heirloom dresses and their coordinating Lilly Pulitzer outfit change was a perfect, more casual feel for their second wardrobe option. I love a good outfit change to incorporate more variety! The idea of dressing up and dressing down is also a great option to really switch up the feel of photos. I always tell clients that you can’t be too dressy for your portraits, but it is also understandable that it is outside what you might normally be comfortable in. Having a second option is the perfect way to have the best of both worlds.

Jessica has now chosen to have several of the photos from our sessions together painted, and we knew going into this one that she was aiming to get a photo of big sister Abigail for her painting. I thought the bouquet was such a sweet touch!

You know what I absolutely love as a North Potomac Family Photographer? When mom and dad want photos together. These two are always willing to capture a few shots together and I think it is such a gift to their little ones. I truly believe that photos are one of the most precious tangible possessions, and coming from someone who recently lost a parent, the only thing more valuable than the photos of those we love most is time with them.
