I have a confession to make. In all my time as a Maryland maternity photographer, I had never had a session on as dark of a day as that of Lorena and Mikey’s maternity session at Monocacy National Battlefield in Frederick, Maryland. I was a little nervous, but as soon as we started shooting and I saw the back of my camera I was immediately at ease. The dark, cloudy day perfectly reflected light and made for beautiful, dramatic blue skies that complimented Lorena’s stunning blue dress. She is seriously the most beautiful mama!

And can we talk about how this is the most perfect holiday photo ever??

Let this serve as your reminder that outfit changes are not only allowed but encouraged during maternity sessions! Why not capture two different looks in one session? I love being able to give you a variety to choose from whether it comes to wardrobe, location, posing, etc.
