l may live in the largest county in Maryland, but I actually live in a pretty small rural town. Nate and I decided to move here right before the pandemic hit and honestly the majority of my clients are from Washington, DC, Northern Virginia, and a decent way south of us in Maryland. As a Maryland family photographer, I am traveling all over the DMV to best serve my clients, so I was thrilled when I connected with Joelle on my town’s local Facebook page. The Arabe family showed up to their session perfectly coordinated in their fall outfits and with the best attitude. Their little ones were the sweetest and SO cooperative!
I am so thrilled every time mom and dad are up for some portraits alone! They are so special and I always try to remind clients that these are for their kids.
Believe it or not we ran into a MASSIVE homecoming crowd during this session! You never know what might happen when you are shooting in public locations, and it was definitely a surprise to turn a corner to what seemed like 100 high school students taking photographs in my favorite spots! The good news is you would never know from these photos!
Family portrait sessions are so much fun when everyone has an easy going attitude and lets the kids be kids. Some of my favorite moments to capture are the genuine interactions between parents and their kids. These authentic moments make for the most beautiful portraits that are cherished for generations!
