I am so excited to share beautiful DC milk bath maternity session I did for one of my good friends. It was wonderful stretching my creativity a bit! It’s amazing how a gorgeous model, a beautiful tub, some milk, and gorgeous flowers can create literal magic!

I really look forward to more creative session this year! I have actually been doing a model call this spring looking for established models, pregnant moms, and moms with babies that are under about one year old. However, this model call is only open for the coming weeks as the goal is to catch our stunning DMV spring blooms in an etherial, timeless way.

Photography and Online Safety

This session brings up the perfect opportunity to talk about something that is incredibly important to me as a photographer. Towards the end of this sessions we brought in my friend’s sweet toddler and captured some of the most special portraits. From cuddling with mama’s baby belly to breastfeeding and just swimming around in the flowers. They are so precious!

With that said, I feel strongly that children should be protected online. There are some photos I would never be ok sharing. These days ensuring that our littlest loves are posted in a very thoughtful, well curated way is the safest avenue to building their online presence with respect. I am so conscious of this in my work. I have very purposefully chosen not to share many photos of my own kids! Some of these photos, like ones on the beach, are my absolute favorite! However, they are for our families’ eyes only and I often draw that line for my own clients as well.
