Things are different
The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted nearly every aspect of our lives, and photography is no different. As a small business owner, I strive not only to deliver photos that you will love and cherish for a lifetime, but I want you to have a safe and memorable experience during your session with me. In my "other" work life I am an infectious disease scientist by training and work in health and science consulting, so I very much understand the importance of preventing the spread of this disease. As a result, I have implemented some changes to how I operate, incorporating both local and federal guidelines to ensure that we all maintain safety as the top priority during this difficult and unprecedented time.
Alexia Ballantine Photography is registered in the state of Maryland, so first and foremost, I am and will continue to adhere to state and federal guidelines regarding the operation my my business. I am fully vaccinated and boosted, and I am currently shooting outdoor sessions only until I feel that it is safe to do otherwise. I will adhere to social distancing guidelines whenever possible and will always wear an N95 mask during sessions. In addition, I will also sterilize my hands and gear throughout your session. I also require clients to reschedule if they or someone close to them are ill with any symptoms at all and only work with clients who take COVID-19 seriously. While it breaks my heart to miss out on traditional Fresh 48s and newborn lifestyle sessions, the scientist and mama in me knows that the risks are just too great right now. Pandemic or not, I feel so confident that we can get you the beautiful images you deserve!
