As an Alexandria maternity photographer, I pride myself on helping clients choose location that fit their vision perfectly. This gorgeous spot at Green Spring Garden’s Park is a beautiful photography spot that had a little bit of everything! Flowers, water, bridges, etc.

This was the second time that I photographed this sweet family. It was very special to capture some maternity photos for this laid-back session! We really aimed to keep this session low-key, walking through the park and stopping to take photos in a variety of gorgeous locations. The spring flowers really stood out during this session! Gorgeous mom Elena’s lilac dress was perfectly complimented by the purple and yellow scenery! And their sweet girls dress can be found here! It was is so sweet for photos, I even bought one for my daughter!

Photographing Toddlers

Photo sessions with a toddler can be tricky, but my years of experience have really taught me how to deal with difficult moments. The key with toddlers is minimally posing them or posing them for very short periods of time. Another trick is to allow for plenty of breaks and snacks! No one likes to be in front of the camera with an empty belly. This sweet girl had a blast during the session! We just followed her lead and kept things as stress-free as possible!
