As a Frederick Maryland Family Photographer, one of the most special parts of my job is capturing your family year after year and watching your little ones grow. I have photographed this beautiful family every year for five years! I am so grateful that they have chosen me over and over again and we have always had a blast at sessions together. This beautiful mama and I worked together at my “day” job and it is wonderful catching up with an old friend while capturing her lovely little ones. And dad keeps us cracking up! Blue Hour Magic

If you were to ask most photographers when their favorite time to shoot is, the vast majority would respond “golden hour,” or the hour before the sun goes down. I am a HUGE proponent of golden hour and advocate quite a bit that the inconvenience is totally worth it! With that said, I don’t think that “blue hour” gets enough credit! As a Frederick Maryland family photographer, it is my absolute FAVORITE when the sun has gone down on a no-to-minimally cloudy day and the sunset reveals a rainbow of colors. How stunning is it to capture your family in a haze of purples, pinks, blues as the backdrop?! I try to keep shooting until either families feel done or the light it too low and this is why! Some of the most beautiful shots are caught at the very end of sessions during this beautiful light.
